hab' mich gestern noch mit Honza und Codec im "La Esquina" getroffen. Diesmal liess mich die strenge Tuer-Zicke sogar rein und so durfte ich mit den beautiful people, den interesting people, ein paar Drag Queens und ner ganz harten Dyke in dem versteckten Keller-Raum unter dem Take-Away Taco Verkaufsstand ein paar Patrons und Sols trinken...
...eigentlich ganz cooler Laden, nur bin ich echt zu alt fuer Tuersteher-schmoozing...

You have to walk into a store front that looks like a side of the road mexican food stall, but then there is a steel door that leads you downstairs once you get approval from the doorman with clipboard and very big hair and a fur coat. You get met at the bottom of the stairs, and walk through the kitchen like a scene from Swingers. Cool bar, great lighting, and good service. Margaritas menu is extensive...was pretty good, but again, may need to go back and get more loaded. Food was tasty, upscale and well-presented, but portions small-ish. Definitely a hip place for mexican food.
